As an online dating expert, I take my reviews seriously. That’s why when it came to reviewing RomanceTale, we went the extra mile and spent days testing both free and paid versions of the site. When it comes to online dating, safety and security should be a top priority. Unfortunately, RomanceTale doesn’t quite measure up in this area. Despite its flashy interface and promises of love connections, there are some serious red flags when it comes to the app’s approach to user verification.

First off, RomanceTale does not have any sort of two-step verification process for users – meaning that anyone can create an account without providing additional proof that they’re who they say they are. This is a major issue as far as safety goes; after all, you don’t want just anybody being able to access your personal information! Additionally, while the site claims that photos are manually reviewed by staff members before being posted on profiles (which would at least help weed out bots or fake accounts), I couldn’t find anything concrete about how exactly these reviews take place or what criteria must be met for approval – so again we’re left with no real way of knowing if someone is who they claim to be or not. If you’re looking for a romantic tale, RomanceTale is not the place to go. After trying out this dating site, I can confidently say that it doesn’t live up to its name! The user profiles are public and anyone can view them – so if privacy is your thing then forget about it here. You also don’t get much of an option when creating your profile as there’s no custom bio or anything like that; just basic information such as age and location which you cannot hide either – talk about lack of control over who sees what!

Speaking of location info in the profiles, there isn’t any indication on how far away someone lives from you either – another major downside considering most people want some idea on distance before they start messaging each other. And while premium subscriptions do come with their own benefits (like unlimited messaging), I didn’t find any extra perks related specifically to having a more detailed profile page than others…which kinda sucks because usually those types of features help draw attention from potential matches.

On top of all these issues, fake accounts were unfortunately rampant during my testing period too – making me question whether anyone was actually real at all?
